Welcome to Sidereal Mommy
Sidereal Mommy
My astrological practice is deeply informed by the profound influence of the sidereal sky. My serious study of astrology began in 2021, a path inspired by a significant chart reading I received at the age of 10, which I have preserved to this day.
After several years of dedicated study in tropical astrology, a powerful experience on December 23, 2023 eventually led me to embrace sidereal astrology, which I consider the most accurate framework for interpreting the ongoing celestial dialogue.
Astrological Approach
I’ve explored various Sidereal chart calculation methods and ultimately found that the Fagan-Bradley Ayanamsa best supports my astrological work.
I credit my Hellenistic astrology teachers, Chris Brennan and Adam Elenbaas for their foundational guidance. Their teachings have set the stage for my continued study of ancient Hellenistic techniques. I am spurred on by the fact that ancient Hellenistic practitioners used the sidereal view by default and lived long before precession became a significant factor in astrological calculations. Apart from Hellenistic astrology, I’m also deepening my understanding of fixed stars and the philosophy of true sky astrology.
Further Exploration
I share my insights in the blog posts below and welcome your thoughts and experiences.
For those seeking a community of astrologers practicing various sidereal techniques, the International Sidereal Astrology Association is an excellent resource.
I’ve been thinking about the moon’s transit lately and how we can identify her phases as the moon travels through the chart and sky, and what that means for our lives in that particular moment.
To practice astrology effectively, one must pay attention to what the natal planets are saying in an astrological house. Additionally, the real-time transit of planets, especially the Moon’s transit, must be considered.
